Shibboleth Component Configuration

Once you've installed Shibboleth 2.0, you should configure it for your environment. The configuration documentation for Shibboleth is arranged by component. Each topic addresses a common configuration goal. Individual element and attribute names can be clicked on for greater detail. Deployment Strategy

Federated identity benefits greatly from close collaboration between the providers in a deployment. These are some of the things you may want to co-ordinate with your partners.

Build a Federation - This step-by-step guide describes how to create your own federation.
Accounting & Auditing - Auditing user activities usually requires providers to work in tandem.
Session Management & Logout - Shibboleth and applications it protects use a lot of types of sessions. Configure them for security, usability, and single logout.
Attributes - Shibboleth can send and receive any kind of information, but all providers need to understand it.
