Attribute Issuer Regular Expression Attribute Filter Matching Rule

This matching rules evaluates to true if the attribute issuer's entity ID matches a given regular expression.

Define the Rule

This rule is defined by the element <PolicyRequirementRule xsi:type="basic:AttributeIssuerRegex">, for policy requirements rules, and <PermitValueRule xsi:type="basic:AttributeIssuerRegex">, for permit value rules, with the follow attributes:

  • regex - the regular expression to match
Example Policy Requirement Rule using the AttributeIssuerRegex Match Function
<PolicyRequirementRule xsi:type="basic:AttributeIssuerRegex" regex="^urn:example:.*$" />

This filter method should not be used in place of the AttributeIssuerInEntityGroup matching function.
