The Shibboleth V1 software has reached its End of Life and is no longer supported. This documentation is available for historical purposes only.

InQueueSPInstall

New versions of Shibboleth should not be installed on top of older versions for general sanity purposes.

Installation of the Shibboleth Service Provider is a forked process which depends primarily on which packaging and which web server will be used. In general, IIS web servers will use a standard Windows-based installation method. Apache 1.3 or 2.0 modules are preferably built from source, but may also utilize provided binaries or RPM's. A Java-based target is in development currently but is not yet ready for production deployments.

This guide will allow for complete deployment of a functional Service Provider successfully tested against a standard !InQueue-provided Identity Provider. To begin, select an operating system below.

  • Linux: Install the SP on most distributions of Linux.
  • Mac OS X: Install the SP on Mac OS X 10.3 or higher.
  • Solaris: Install the SP on 32-bit Solaris 2.8 or other, unsupported versions.
  • Windows: Install the SP under IIS or Apache on Windows
