Subversion Client Configuration

Shibboleth uses Subversion (v1.7) as its source control system. The main developers either use Eclipse, TortoiseSVN, or the command line as their SVN client but any client should work.

The only special change required in your SVN client is to configure a proper set of auto-properties as discussed here.

Command Line Configuration

Add, replace or merge your local configuration file with this config file from our Subversion repository.

Unix systems: ~/.subversion/config

Windows XP and earlier C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Subversion\config

Windows Vista and later: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Subversion\config

Eclipse Configuration

See the Eclipse configuration page. Of particular importance are the unsetting of "Set text MIME type for all non-binary files" and importing the configuration file.

TortoiseSVN is linked against a standard SVN dll and so SVN should be configured as descibed for Command Line Configuration
